NEW ORLEANS ELECTRICAL PANEL SERVICES

ELECTRICAL PANEL REPAIRS, INSTALLS, AND UPGRADES

The main electrical panel functions as the electrical system's core nervous system. It serves as the beginning point for all of your home's electrical circuits. It is critical that we only install electrical panels and breakers with lifetime warranties in your house. All work done by us here at Fleur De Lights is completed in accordance with current electrical codes. Have piece of mind knowing that any faults with your electrical panel will be rectified free of charge throughout that time period.

When should your electrical panel be replaced and/or upgraded.

The circuit breakers in your electrical panel box exist solely to ensure your safety. They are intended to turn off power to your home's circuits in the case of a malfunction or overload. A panel that is outmoded or out of date should be replaced or, at the very least, examined. Federal Pacific Electrical Panels (FPE) are a great example of a panel that lost its UL designation owing to defective breakers. These panels may be found in houses and entire communities across New Orleans, and they must be changed right away. Screw-in fuse boxes are an example of an out-of-date design. Some insurance companies, in our experience, require these fuse boxes to be inspected or changed before insuring a house.

The addition of a new load in your electrical panel may need a panel update. Loads are estimated based on what was in your home at the time it was built. A new air conditioner or hot tub may overload your electrical panel's primary breaker or feeder wires. A large increase in load may necessitate more amps than are currently available in an electrical service panel. Call Fleur De Lights and we'll send a Metairie electrician to your house to do a panel check and/or load calculation to ensure everything is in working order. Contact Fleur De Lights Right Away!
